Some friends and family have gotten the full impact of it in the last
few hours, and I must say they are VERY patient.  By now, however,
they should be used to me and my toys.

I stopped at Office Depot today and bought a CanoScan LiDE 90
; j/ O* V" l- Q% y- ~scanner.  For months now I\'ve been wanting a simple scanner for my
; S# E" Q' a/ V, V* yslides and photos. Every other place I went to, like Wal*Mart and
Target, only sold the printer/copier/fax/scanner units.  I already own
. z! ~) m. z4 m- |) ]2 T5 qall of that except for the scanner and wasn\'t about to spend hundreds
of dollars for more than I need.

2 p9 h2 y# x5 e' i( i, lThis scanner costing under $80 does a great job on my photos, even the
+ q7 C/ \/ X3 M# O) B; iones of me as a baby.  My slides of astronomical art by Morris Scott
6 H2 f% ]( D/ \  Y( T) U4 C5 ^Dollens come out okay even after collecting dust for decades.  I
should be kept busy for days scanning all the photos I\'ve saved over
the years in an old suitcase.  Now if I could only figure out who all
those people in really old photos are!
